A Turkish scholar said that China’s socialist modernization, backed by its rising economic strength in the world, is a well-functioning model.
Selcuk Colakoglu, director of the Ankara-based Turkish Center for Asia-Pacific Studies, said that China’s path to modernization has its distinct features.
Colakoglu noted that China’s economy achieved historical development during the past decade, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
Chinese modernization is the modernization of a huge population, of common prosperity for all, of material and cultural-ethical advancement, of harmony between humanity and nature and of peaceful development. The CPC aims to basically realize socialist modernization through 2035.
